Wedding photography that documents it all - real stories, real emotions

Documentary style wedding photography, capturing the real and unposed moments. The moments that matter, the ones you will revisit in 20 years time, and maybe even every other anniversary. Reportage style work captures people being themselves, the images are filled with emotions, humour and show that genuine connection between people. It will be the good, sometimes the bad, but most definitely always real. Don't worry about stiff poses, simply enjoy your day, be with your family and guests, and I will document it from angles you couldn't even imagine.

It may seem that this type of photography is full of highly energetic photographs but in reality weddings also have plenty of serene, intimate, sometimes somber and thoughtful moments. It’s natural to go through a vast range of emotions on the day and my work reflects all that. My advice is - forget about the photographer and let all the emotions lead you, don’t be afraid to be YOU in front of my camera. Enjoy looking through my galleries and if my style resonates with you, get in touch!

As life happens, nothing staged

If you’re looking for a photographer who doesn’t make you feel awkward on the day or asks you to hold poses, then you’re in the right place. I’m Anete Lusina, a West Yorkshire based photographer who documents people’s stories all across the UK, and even Europe. Weddings are such fast paced events, and beautiful moments are gone in the matter of seconds, so it’s important that you get to know the type of moments I look for when I’m shooting a wedding. My style of shooting is in a photojournalistic (or, documentary) style, meaning, I won’t organise and run your wedding but instead let you enjoy it. I will blend in and become your trusted “eyes” for the day, seeking out those special and artistic moments happening all around you and even when you’re not looking. If this is what you’re looking for, I’d love to hear from like-minded clients who enjoy this type of work.

Weddings are a celebration of love, family and friendships. Everyone who's a part of your wedding day deserve to also be a part of the visual story I deliver to you. Documentary style wedding photography isn't about an infinite number of snaps, it's about recognising the right moments, it's about not orchestrating your day but letting you enjoy it to the fullest. It's about looking at your photographs and feeling memories and emotions washing over you.

Take a look at the type of work I do!

What my clients say…

Over the months between meeting and our wedding, Anete kept in contact with us, and we arranged a pre-wedding shoot to get us used to the camera. We were both feeling a bit dubious before the pre-wedding shoot, as we were nervous about having our photos taken, but that was quickly dispelled! Anete made us feel so comfortable and relaxed, and we barely noticed her snapping away.

When it came to the big day, we couldn't have asked for anything more from them all as a team. They took photos so unobtrusively and never interrupted the merriment to take any pictures.

Myself and Craig had pre-agreed with Anete to have a little couple's shoot after the ceremony and before the reception, but we were so wrapped up in talking to people, we realised that time was pressing on. Anete reassured us that she would get some pictures at another point and not to worry and enjoy ourselves, which put us at ease.

C & C

From the moment my husband and I contacted Anete, we were met with friendly professionalism. Anete arranged for a meeting and we knew from then on that we would definitely book Lusina Wedding Photography. Anete showed a genuine interest in us and our personalities, taking our views (neither of us felt brave in front of a camera!) seriously and posing solutions and alternative methods.

We had a pre-wedding shoot that produced gorgeous photography, shot in Hartsholme Park, Lincoln. Anete travelled to meet us and you could see how much pleasure she took from her work. Anete made us feel completely at ease and Dan and I almost forgot she was there, doing her magic. Anete and her second shooter blew us away on the actual wedding day. Their laid back attitude and professionalism was exactly what we needed, with many shots being natural ones (exactly what we asked for).

The photographs evoked tears from our family, and Dan and I could not fault a single one. There were some shots in there that we could not have dreamed we would have. Anete's style was perfect for us both and we were so pleased we went with her. Go with Anete - you will not be disappointed. Dan and I know we have made a friend for life!
